AVI has conducted numerous Alzheimer's Dementia studies in 11 Skilled Nursing Facilities. We have established a large network of geriatric Psychiatrists and Internists throughout the southwest Los Angeles County area.

We are sensitive to the ethical considerations of this vulnerable population. We are committed to preserving the rights and welfare of our elderly volunteers, their families and caregivers. As such, we have created SOPs specific to the consent process for elderly volunteers. AVI has a team of advisors who specialize in LAR, POA and surrogate consent issues. We are very careful to adhere to the requirements of ICH/GCP and IRB requirements.
